Intage Research Co., Ltd., which conducts research and market research projects at Intage Holdings Co., Ltd., conducted a “Consciousness Survey on Regional Creation and Population Decline” targeting 10,000 people nationwide on 22nd, and compiled the results released.

This survey is based on a sample structure based on the demographic population such as gender, age, residence area, and unmarried age based on the census of 2015 for men and women between the ages of 16 and 79 who are net monitors of Intage. 以下「公共サービスの質の低下」や「公共交通機関の縮小」などと続き、人口100万人以上の都市では5位に「治安の悪化」がランクイン、20万人以上、30万人以上の都市は5位に「地域内の経済縮小」がランクインしていました。

人口減少が進行し、懸念される問題が現実化した場合にどうするかを尋ねた問いでは、「今の地域にとどまると思う」が全体で51.6%となり、過半を占めたものの、「わからない」とした人も30.9%と多くなっていました。

引っ越し意向派では、「今の地域の中で別の地区に引っ越すと思う」人が7.5%、「今の地域を出て別の地域に引っ越すと思う」人は10.0%とそれぞれ1割程度で、引っ越すならば市区町村・都道府県単位のエリアを出て、離れた地にと考える人がやや多い傾向になっています。

性別と年代による属性別で集計した結果では、年齢が上がるほど「今の地域にとどまると思う」人が多く、男女別では女性よりも男性の方が「とどまる」派の多い傾向がみられました。

10~20代の若年層では「わからない」とする人も3~4割と多数を占めましたが、やはり「引っ越す」と思う人が3割超にのぼり、人口減少地域では若者の流出がさらに加速度的に進んでいくリスクが高いと考えられる結果になっています。
